"The Director's Office" transports participants to Poland in the early 80s. Audio and VHS cassette tapes, a typewriter, propaganda posters, carnations, and iconic period objects create a world where information isn't searched for on Google, and a mysterious recording definitely can't be rewound with a finger.
The room combines the atmosphere of the Polish People's Republic with investigative journalism . To get to the truth, you must search through documents, activate decades-old equipment, and uncover information hidden in objects that might seem like a mystery to younger participants.
It's September 1983. You've just started work at a small local newspaper . It's supposed to be a quiet day until an anonymous tip lands on your desk. Its author claims that Comrade Józef K., the director of a local factory, has mysteriously disappeared. This could be the biggest story your office has seen in a long time. If this information is confirmed, you already know what will be on the front page of tomorrow's edition.
However, you must act quickly. If the police become involved, access to the Director's office and the materials contained therein may be restricted!
So you go inside. Documents, recordings, and Comrade Joseph's personal items can help reconstruct his final activities and determine what really happened before his disappearance.
You already have a front-page story, now you need evidence.
In the Director's Office, you won't find modern electronics, a laptop, or a Wi-Fi password. Here, information is recorded on audio tape, documents are created on a typewriter, and important information may be hidden among the propaganda slogans. During your investigation, you'll use audio and VHS tapes, a typewriter, documents, propaganda posters, and iconic objects from the communist era . Even innocent-looking carnations can hold more significance than you initially imagine.
Each clue requires observation, logical thinking, associating facts, and the skillful use of period equipment. Each solution reveals another piece of history and brings you closer to the answer to the most important question: what really happened to Comrade Director?
Will you be able to discover the truth before the police knock on your door?
