Attention! Attention! Katowice has been taken over by the Beboks! These small, mischievous creatures, distant cousins of the Icelandic Yule Lads . The Beboks have been quite rampant lately. Besides scaring children (which has always been their domain), they have also begun playing various pranks in Katowice. It's unacceptable that the largest city in Silesia will be left under the rule of these little monsters. Residents quickly formed units and began repairing the damage caused by the Beboks' activities... and that's how the city game in Katowice began!
Tasks
The Bebocz's mischief was varied. They dismantled the Katowice logo, mixed poppy seeds with sesame seeds (to prevent the creation of a Silesian cake), and cast a spell of oblivion on good old Oma. All to make life difficult for the residents. Fortunately, the brave Bebocz Hunters preserved their likenesses and thus contributed to the creatures' removal from the city.
City game in Katowice – goal
Keen observers noticed that Boboks were particularly fond of the Participatory Budgeting events in Katowice. The entire event was a promotional campaign for both the city's investments already underway and for voting in the upcoming 5th edition of the Participatory Budgeting.
For us, this game was special for several reasons – firstly, the youngest participant was… 3,5 months old! And she bravely made it to the very end! Secondly, we enjoy traveling around the country with our games and other attractions, but we were thrilled to have it implemented in a city so close to us (both geographically and personally). And thirdly, it was a wonderful demonstration of how initiatives for residents can be promoted in a unique and engaging way.
Finally, we'd like to add that these aren't the last of the events promoting the 5th edition of the Participatory Budget in Katowice.
