“Venice Through the Looking Glass” was supposed to be a flash mob…
…that’s what we planned – as usual, something unusual in the urban space – after all, we know how to do it as the #cudoteam!
Imagine how this promotional event for the Royal Castle exceeded our wildest expectations. It wasn't just a promotional event, it was pure art!
How did it all start?
The main idea was simple: we capitalized on the fact that most people are curious. The catchy slogan was "Step through the mirror and see what happens." Once we'd captured people's attention, we had to surprise them in some unusual way, since that's what we promised them!
The next steps were logical – since we are promoting the exhibition of the Venetian painter Tomasz Dolabella, we should engage people associated with this area to cooperate 😉
And so we began our search for true artists! Our team included a violinist, an opera singer, a guitarist, a juggler, a stilt walker, and entertainers with a flair for acting!
But that still wasn't enough... Because if our artists were going to have Venetian masks, then the people who wanted to take part in this mysterious flash mob should get them too! And just as we thought, we did.
We added some technical and organizational aspects, a golden frame, beautiful costumes, a banner, and went to Warsaw to organize an unusual form of event marketing with soul!
On September 19, when the bells were ringing in Castle Square in front of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, some passers-by dared to cross our frame and then IT STARTED!
Suddenly, our artists appeared in front of the Castle and the show began: Mirella played the violin, Ania played the guitar, Darek sang La donna e mobilePaulina walked on stilts, Paweł juggled, and the two Martynas gave their all as ladies-in-waiting! As the song ended, a banner inviting visitors to the exhibition "Dolabella. Venetian Painter of the Vasa Dynasty" was displayed in Castle Square.
