How to spend time with your loved ones in an interesting and unusual way on a beautiful summer day?
The answer to this question is already known to our participants! On a beautiful (though sometimes interrupted by refreshing rain... :D) June afternoon, the District City Game in Chrzanów! 😊
The mission of the participants…
Teams of several people, made up of families, friends, and acquaintances, participated. What was our participants' task? First and foremost, they had to take on the role of investigators, as the City Game in Chrzanów had a specific mission! Recently, it was discovered that collectible works of art belonging to the renowned 19th-century Chrzanów industrialist, Henryk Loewenfeld, were hidden somewhere in the city!
To find the collector's lost collection, our participants faced considerable challenges ! To better understand art, they took on the roles of sculptors and classical music experts, among others. Their task was to identify works by composers such as Johan Strauss, Richard Wagner, and Ludwig van Beethoven.
One of the most demanding tasks was a calligraphy task , where they had to reproduce a certain text using a special pen and a calligraphic template…
As is well known, Henryk Loewenfeld funded numerous cultural and charitable endeavors in Chrzanów. Among other things, he donated land to the city for the construction of a middle school and donated a mosaic painting of the Madonna and Child to one of Chrzanów's churches . Our participants took on the role of art experts, tasked with copying the painting's details.
Our investigators and researchers were also faced with a detective task , based on fingerprinting ! It was also necessary to acquire the skills to sell the items from the discovered collection in a way that would find a buyer…
Additionally, the investigators had to be clever enough to arrive at the railway station at the agreed time to pick up a mysterious parcel that could help them find the missing works of art.
The City Game in Chrzanów was also an opportunity to test your historical knowledge of the city during the thematic quiz organized during the game!
The unique atmosphere of our party was complemented by a mysterious couple strolling through the streets of Chrzanów … a descendant of Henry and a beautiful Duchess, who, after paying them due respect, eagerly gave their subjects their autographs!
