This article could be humorously titled "Why Are Event Services So Expensive?" :). We'll be honest, we hesitated about whether to include it on our blog. It might come out that we complain about clients and other such things. If that's how you perceive the topic at hand, read on. Pricing policy in most service businesses isn't a simple matter, so we decided to tackle it. We wanted a text that would provide a reliable description of what makes up the price of a magical "event."
Experience – no surprises. This applies to every industry. However, many things, such as programming, can be improved with a subsequent patch. At Evenatch, you don't get a "second chance." And this is precisely what demonstrates the importance of experience in event organization. And what does this experience consist of? You can read about this in the articles " 7 Tips for Event Organizers " and " What to Look for When Organizing a Corporate Event? "
People – putting together a well-matched team is truly challenging. If you're looking for high-quality service, specialists who know what they're doing – in every situation – and who have experience (see above), then it's logical that they won't work for "references." A good event team can communicate almost telepathically, preventing any unpleasantness in advance.
Time – it seems like another obvious factor, yet it's often overlooked. "So much money for an hour and a half of work?!" – we often hear (seriously!). Remember, however, that every event requires preparation – hours, days, even weeks of preparation. For some projects, the time is measured in months! And then there are the mundane things like travel (sometimes even a day or a few days in advance). Time also includes irregular working hours, but more on that later.
Dates – there are usually a few weekends a year when EVERYTHING happens. This usually happens in mid-June. It's just before Children's Day, but still before the holiday season. The weather is favorable – warm, but not yet hot. This is the best time for outdoor events. Reservations for this period are made several months (or more!) in advance.
Equipment – what (and what) we bring to the event also influences its price. Equipment depreciation, wear and tear, and service are all factors to consider when analyzing pricing.
Not all events are created equal. This is because the concept of an event is always different. Someone had to think it through, test it, and develop it. This creative work is the main reason for the "wow" factor.
Service – we often ask our clients what made them choose our services. The response, "You were recommended to me," is quickly followed by "You responded quickly" or "We had a good relationship with you." As an event company, we don't limit ourselves to fixed working hours; we'll answer your calls at 10:00 a.m. and 20:00 p.m. Sometimes you'll receive an email from us at night because we learned the day before that you needed something for the next "call" with your boss.
The topic of pricing is never easy, but we hope we've clarified it in a friendly yet reliable way. We wanted to provide a comprehensive description of what constitutes the cost of event services. If you have any suggestions for content, think something should be added, or simply want to discuss the topic with us, please feel free to contact us at biuro@cudotwornia.com.
BONUS : This is actually an urban legend, just for companies :). Something to think about and smile about. You'll come across the same story in different settings across different industries. So... Sometimes we get this kind of client who says, "This event is easy. Last year, company XYZ organized it for me for half the price you want." The answer can be simple: "We understand. It's a free market. Our offer is too expensive. You're entrusting the event organization to company XYZ?" And then the client finishes the story: "I can't. They don't exist anymore..." 😉
