Crazy Village - a crime comedy inspired by Polish folklore

Plot

In Stara Wieś, life has flowed its own rhythm for years: the village headwoman keeps order, the chairwoman of the Rural Women's Association organizes meetings, the herbalist knows a cure for every ailment, and the residents are more interested in what's happening with their neighbors than in the weather.

However, the peace ends with the discovery of the young forester's body... The city police won't arrive for several hours, so you take on the role of investigator. You'll interrogate the village's colorful inhabitants, uncover their secrets, and discover that beneath the idyllic landscape lurk family conflicts, romances, jealousy, and unstable ambitions.

And at the end, you will have to answer the key question: who killed Roman?

Rules of investigation

Each team decides independently which residents they will visit first and what questions they will ask during interrogations.

Your task is not only to identify the perpetrator, but also to reconstruct the motive, the course of events, and the murder weapon. Not all residents tell the whole truth, so attentiveness, the ability to connect the dots, and drawing the right conclusions are crucial.

At the end, all teams present their verdict, and only then do they learn the full story and the solution to the mystery. This way, it's unclear who will truly be guilty until the finale.

Tasks

To gain the residents' trust, you'll first have to help them with their daily chores. Only then will they decide to reveal what they know about the crime.

During the investigation, you will find, among other things:

making country dumplings with the Rural Housewives' Circle,
transporting grain to the mill,
a test of strength in the Young Blacksmith's forge,
target shooting with the Old Forester,
recognizing the herbs and mysterious potions of the Herbalist,
meeting with the eccentric Forest Lich,
analysis of documents, chronicles and evidence,
interviewing residents and combining all the leads into a coherent whole.

Is this script more of a comedy or a crime story?

Definitely a crime comedy, "Mad Village" is a script full of compelling characters, humor straight from the TV series 1670 or "The Ranch," and surprising plot twists.
