The Viking tribe is facing their most important expedition in years. Its goal is to find a legendary treasure that, according to ancient legends, will bring glory and power to the entire family. However, everything changes when Edgar, the sole heir to their leader, Jarl Magnus, dies just before the expedition begins.
It quickly becomes clear that the young warrior's death is only the beginning of a much larger story. In the shadow of preparations for the expedition, family conflicts, forbidden romances, power struggles, and long-buried secrets come to the fore, threatening to change the future of the entire tribe.
Each suspect has their own motive, their own version of events, and something to hide. Some seek power, others protect family honor, and still others will do anything to keep the truth from ever coming to light.
During your investigation, you will explore a Viking settlement, interrogate members of the Jarl's family, warriors, traders, and tribesmen, analyze the evidence they leave behind, and complete tasks inspired by Viking life and beliefs.
Among other things, you can expect:
Each team conducts their own investigation, deciding the order of interviews and evidence analysis. Not all residents will tell you the truth, and some information will require piecing together numerous seemingly unrelated facts. Your goal is to identify the perpetrator, uncover the motive for the crime, and explain the events that led to the death of the Jarl's successor. Only the conclusion of the investigation will reveal which team managed to uncover the whole truth.
